New Hosting Account Startup Guide

Once your hosting account has been activated, you need to make your website online.
However sometimes, it can be difficult understanding the terms and conditions of web hosting.
So here is a brief guide on starting and using a new web hosting account.

Step # 1 : Change DNS of your Domain Name first

Before you can get your web site up and running, you need to change your DNS (Domain Name Servers) to point to our servers.

Step # 2 : Login and Explore the cPanel Control Panel

Login to the cPanel Control Panel of your web hosting account.
cPanel URL, Username & Password should be present in the hosting account activation email.

Step # 3 : Build your Website and Upload Files to the Server

Once your webpages are ready, you should upload it to the server so that it shows up in your website.
The easiest way for uploading your website is to use FTP client like FileZilla.
You may also upload your files through the web-based cPanel File Manager.
Kindly upload all your files to the public_html directory, otherwise it would not show up in your website.
To replace the default webpage, you must delete or replace the index.htm file in public_html directory.

Step # 4 : Create Email Accounts through cPanel Control Panel

By default, there are no email accounts created for your new web hosting account.
So you will need to configure all your email accounts through cPanel Control Panel.
